In May 2022, Ethio Telecom rolled out 5G across Ethiopia, showcasing a robotics solution that highlighted the usage of 5G in industry.
The solution allowed the user to engage with the robotic system by signing on a tablet and having their signature engraved on a card by the robotic arms. To demonstrate the benefits of 5G, the two robotic arms communicated with each other through a 5G network.
With its safety features, collaborative robotic arms established a safe environment where industrial grade robotic arms may be utilized in close proximity to people.
